That's right! In accordance with Step 3 of the reopening plans in the City of Toronto, indoor/outdoor sports and recreational activities are open at the University of Toronto! Sports and recreational activities are a great way to meet new individuals when studying at the University of Toronto. In addition to this, students can save money with physical activity programs and athletic facilities offered at the University.
As a student at the University of Toronto, you have FREE ACCESS to all indoor and outdoor sports and recreation programs when you pay your incidental fees each year.
This means you probably already have free access to many programs and facilities offered by the University such as:
The Athletic Centre —with seven gymnasiums, three pools, strength and conditioning centre, indoor track, dance studio, cardio machines, tennis and squash courts, and steam rooms.
The Varsity Centre —with a 400m eight-lane international class track and state-of-the-art artificial playing field.
Indoor and Outdoor Drop-in Sports —such as badminton, table tennis, football, ultimate frisbee, and soccer.
Group Fitness Training Programs —like Barre, Big HIIT, Cardio Dance Party, and JOGA.
Virtual Fitness Studio —daily live online workout classes led by Sport & Recreation.
MoveU Anywhere —inspiration for daily movement with practical exercise videos.
Note should be made that students are required to register online and complete pre-screening on the day of their visit when looking to utilize facilities and/or participate in programs at the University.
